March 12, 2017, Sunday, at sea en route to Kobe, Japan

March 12, 2017, Sunday, en route to Kobe, Japan

A quiet day at sea, but still plenty to do. After Morning Trivia, Sandra went on a Ship’s Galley Tour. I went to the 11:00 A.M. Insight Lecture with the last of Les Evans’ lectures, “What Comes Next? - The future of high speed travel.”

The 12:15 lecture was the last of Commander Jeff Tall’s talks about “Submarines in the Cold War (1945 - 1991) - The Peacekeepers.” Commander Tall actually commanded four of the British hunter/killer subs that kept track of the Russian missile subs.

At 2:00 P.M., Sandra listened to Classical Guitarist Adam Brown in the Queen’s Room.
This was followed by our afternoon trivia session.

The evening show was the MacDonald Brothers Variety Show featuring multiple instruments and vocals including accordion, violin, piano, guitar, penny whistle and mouth organ. No bag pipes.
